I played a prepared grand piano and percussion on this one. “Rough Education (composition for prepared piano and drums) was written to elucidate how interplanetary koan study marries certainty and doubt as a process between alien species. Each “stimulus” has a ubiquitous fermentation of direct reflection/emulation/gestation as reinterpreted/warped through or without a logic of contexts. ROMANTIC EXTRACTIONS FROM EXOGENOUS SHOCKS waver between musical passages to ponder/devolve into a litany of simulated/fantastical customs as endemic prosopagnosia obscures the mysterious mind-body conundrum endured by extraterrestrials and humans alike.” – KS
